16 Black-Owned Fashion & Beauty Brands To Support

These past few weeks the world has seen a sudden rise in protests and conversations surrounding the Black Lives Matter movement after the inhumane death of George Floyd as a result of police brutality against Blacks, once again.
Amidst all this, Uoma Beauty founder Sharon Chuter, challenged brands to reveal the number of Black employees they have at a corporate level with the #PullUpOrShutUp challenge, because a company simply stating they support Black Lives isn’t enough anymore. Brands have been participating and acknowledging where they need to do better because the majority of the results have been disappointing but not surprising.
Shopping Black shouldn’t even be a question at this point. Black-owned brands should be supported now and continuously. Here’s a list of 16 Black-owned fashion and beauty brands to support.
